The ACT Legislative Assembly Art Collection
Since occupying the iconic South Building on London Circuit in 1994 the Assembly has developed a collection of visual art that reflects the high calibre of artists working in the region, and the diversity of art practices they encompass. The collection celebrates the unique characteristics of the ACT as home to over 360,000 people as well as being the nation's capital.
An online gallery of selected works can be explored at the bottom of this page (additional works will be added over time).
The collection continues to grow and is presided over by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, with acquisitions being made each year on the advice of the Legislative Assembly Art Advisory Committee.
As works are acquired they are displayed temporarily on the ground floor corridor of the Assembly building facing London Circuit.
