About the Work

Greg Daly has an international reputation for his mastery of the lustre glaze. He puts it to full effect on simple thrown vessels such Reflections. He is a keen observer of the influence of weather on our perception of light on form, and he has increasingly used lustre glaze to emulate those ephemeral effects of light. Daly’s use of glaze is much more than a surface, decorative element, rather it has become the principal element of the object.
