About the Work
Munro’s principal interest, while expressed in a variety of media, has recently focussed on increasingly complex geometry combined with a pleated and corrugated surface. Her work is informed by a diverse range of sources including artistic abstraction, mathematics, architecture and philosophy to explore the relationships between visual art, craft and design practices. Her interest in geometric patterning is a hybrid, having its origins in mosaic tiling, quilting patterns and geometric abstraction.
