On Tuesday 22 November 2022 the ACT Legislative Assembly (the Assembly) referred the Long Service Leave (Portable Schemes) Amendment Bill 2022, (the Bill) to the Standing Committee on Economy and Gender and Economic Equality (the EGEE Committee) for inquiry and report.
The Committee resolved on Thursday 8 December 2022 to undertake an inquiry into the Bill. In accordance with the reporting timeframe for inquiries undertaken into referred bills (within 2 months from the presentation of the bill)—the Committee is required to report on its inquiry by Monday 23 January 2023.
This inquiry is now complete.
The Committee’s report was released on 23 January 2023 and is available under the “Reports” tab above.
The Government Response to the report is due on 23 May 2023 and, when published, will be available under the “Government Responses” tab above.
