13. Inquiry into Waste Management and Resource Recovery Bill 2016
At its meeting on Tuesday, 7 June 2016, the Assembly passed the following resolution:
That, pursuant to standing order 174, the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Bill 2016 be referred to the Standing Committee on Planning, Environment and Territory and Municipal Services for inquiry and report by 29 July 2016, and if the Assembly is not sitting when the committee has completed its inquiry it may send the report to the Speaker or, in the absence of the Speaker, to the Deputy Speaker, who is authorised to give directions for its printing, publishing and circulation.
The Committee held an inquiry and received no submissions before the deadline but has approved one late submission for publication. On 28 July 2016 the Speaker authorised the Committee’s report for publication.
