Public hearings with industry and business groups on the COVID-19 response

The Committee will hold its third public hearing into the ACT Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic at 1.30 pm on Thursday, 14 October 2021. A program is below.

The Committee is holding regular public hearings with ACT Government officials and community groups which will be held virtually and live streamed to the public. The hearings can be viewed at the Video on Demand website.

Committee Chair, Ms Elizabeth Lee MLA, said “Local businesses, particularly in the hospitality and tourism sectors, have been hit hard by the pandemic. The Committee is keen to hear from industry and business about how the pandemic, lockdown and the ACT government’s management has affected them and get feedback on future steps as we emerge out of lockdown.”

The Legislative Assembly established the Select Committee on 16 September 2021 to provide oversight to the ACT Government’s response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. The resolution establishing the Committee is available on the Committee’s website.
