New inquiry into the management of school infrastructure

The Standing Committee on Education and Community Inclusion has announced a new inquiry into the management of infrastructure in ACT schools and is calling for public submissions.

The Committee will look into and report on a wide array of issues related to school infrastructure management, including the management of hazardous materials in schools, the management of school capacity issues, classroom design, sporting facilities, the environmental sustainability of school infrastructure and accessibility for students and teachers with disabilities.

The Chair of the Committee, Mr Michael Pettersson MLA said “We look forward to hearing from as many people as possible about school infrastructure in the ACT and what improvements the community would like to see.”

Submissions for the Inquiry are open until 1 May 2021. The Committee is due to report to the Assembly in December 2021.
