Report tabled – Inquiry into Annual and Financial Reports 2022-23

The Chair of the Standing Committee on Planning, Transport and City Services, Ms Jo Clay MLA, today tabled the Committee’s report on its Inquiry into Annual and Financial Reports 2022–23.

The Committee held a number of public hearings with the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate and Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate. The wide range of topics discussed included social and affordable housing provisions, urban regeneration, the Acton waterfront development, and ACT public transport services.

The report made 12 recommendations covering a number of issues, including demonstration housing in Kingston, the National Capital Design Review Panel, textile recycling, affordable housing, transport and waste emissions reduction and weekend bus services.

Under the Assembly’s standing orders, the ACT Government is required to respond to committee reports within four months of tabling.
