Inquiry into the Environment Protection (Fossil Fuel Company Advertising) Amendment Bill 2024

The Standing Committee on Environment, Climate Change and Biodiversity announced a new inquiry into Environment Protection (Fossil Fuel Company Advertising) Amendment Bill 2024.

The Bill proposes to amend the Environment Protection Act 1997 to regulate fossil fuel company advertising at key government venues in the ACT including the AIS, Canberra Tennis Centre, GIO Stadium, Manuka Oval and MIT Narrabundah Ballpark. A copy of the Bill and explanatory statement are available on the ACT Legislation Register.
