Inquiry into Cashless Gaming
The Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety has announced it will be undertaking an inquiry into cashless gaming.
The terms of reference are available on the Committee website here.
The Committee are looking to inquire into what the implementation of card-based cashless gaming technology in the ACT might look like, experiences in other jurisdictions, potential impacts on money laundering and organised crime, and any cross-jurisdictional issues that may arise from implementing the technology in the ACT.
The Committee would like to hear from a range of stakeholders and welcomes submissions to this inquiry by Friday, 1 September 2023.
