The ACT Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on Economy and Gender and Economic Equality (the Committee) will be holding a public hearing for its Inquiry into Housing and Rental Affordability on Friday, 16 September 2022.

The Committee will hear from a range of community organisations: Greater Canberra, Advocacy for Inclusion, ACTCOSS, the ACT Youth Advisory Council, and ACT Shelter. The Committee will also hear later in the day from the Treasurer, Mr Andrew Barr MLA, and accompanying officials from the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate. Visitors are welcome to observe the proceedings, between 12:45pm – 5:30pm, in the Prince Edward Island Room at the Legislative Assembly building on London Circuit (COVID-Safe restrictions apply).
