The Standing Committee on Education and Community Inclusion announced on 5 October 2021 it would be undertaking an inquiry into the ACT Auditor-General’s Report No. 6 of 2021 on Teaching Quality in ACT Public Schools.

The Minister for Education and Youth Affairs Ms Yvette Berry MLA will be appearing as a witness at the final hearing for the Inquiry to be held today at 1:30pm-2:30pm.

The hearing will be held via WebEx and streamed live. The live broadcast and recording will be available on Video on Demand.

The Committee Chair, Mr Michael Pettersson MLA, said “this Inquiry has already heard evidence from other major stakeholders, the ACT Auditor-General and the Australian Education Union. Minister Berry will expand upon the Government’s response to the 2021 performance audit about improving teaching quality in ACT public schools, and answer questions about how the government will empower teaching professionals to meet the learning needs of all students.”
