Inquiry into Auditor-General Report: 6/2021 – Teaching Quality in ACT Public Schools

The Standing Committee on Education and Community Inclusion announced on 5 October 2021 it would be undertaking an inquiry into the ACT Auditor-General’s Report No. 6 of 2021 on Teaching Quality in ACT Public Schools. Submissions have closed and the Committee is currently conducting Inquiry hearings.

The ACT Branch Secretary of the Australian Education Union, Mr Patrick Judge, will be appearing as a witness at the second hearing for the Inquiry. It will be held at 1:30pm-2:30pm next Tuesday 29 March 2022 in the Prince Edward Island Room (Committee Room 1) at Legislative Assembly for the ACT, 196 London Circuit, Canberra.

The hearing will be held via WebEx and streamed live. The live broadcast and recording will be available on Video on Demand.

The Committee Chair, Mr Michael Pettersson MLA, said that “This inquiry provides an opportunity for interested people in the ACT community to support teaching quality and equity in all our schools by sharing with the Assembly their experiences and expertise.”
