Estimates Committee publishes Budget report

The Estimates Committee today published its report into the ACT Government’s Budget and the Appropriation Bills.

The Committee held 11 days of hearings with Ministers, officials, statutory office holders and community groups. Witnesses answered 359 questions.

The report makes 143 recommendations across government.

The report is available at Select Committee on Estimates 2022-2023 - ACT Legislative Assembly.

Committee Chair, Mr James Milligan, said “The Committee appreciates the assistance and expertise provided by witnesses throughout the hearings and in answering questions. I also acknowledge the contribution during the hearings from my Committee colleagues and visiting Members.”

The practice is that the Government tables its response to the Estimates report prior to the Assembly passing the Budget Bills.
