Invitation for Public Submissions
The Standing Committee on Planning and Urban Renewal invites submissions to its inquiry into Draft Variation to the Territory Plan No. 344: Woden Town Centre: Zone changes and amendments to the Phillip precinct map and code.
The recommended variation is accessible via the Environment, planning and Sustainable Development Directorate website:
Written submissions should be lodged with the Committee Secretary by close of business on Friday 15 September 2017.
The Committee prefers all submissions to be lodged in electronic form (Word format), although handwritten submissions are acceptable. All submissions, including those sent electronically, must include a name, an email address, a postal address and a telephone contact number. Personal contact details will not be published.

Section 73 (2) of the Planning and Development Act 2007 states that the Minister for Minister for Planning and Land Management:
may, not later than 20 working days after the day the Minister receives the draft plan variation, refer the draft plan variation documents to an appropriate Committee of the Legislative Assembly together with a request that the Committee report on the draft plan variation to the Legislative Assembly.
On 27 July 2017, the Minister for Planning, Mr Mick Gentleman MLA, referred Draft Variation to the Territory Plan No. 344: Woden Town Centre: Zone changes and amendments to the Phillip precinct map and code, to the Standing Committee on Planning and Urban Renewal.
