Final Report: Inquiry into the effectiveness of transparency arrangements for Members of the Legislative Assembly

Yesterday the Chair of the Standing Committee on Integrity Commission and Statutory Office Holders, Mr Ed Cocks MLA, tabled the Committee’s final report for the Inquiry into the effectiveness of transparency arrangements for Members of the Legislative Assembly. The report made two recommendations and one finding, relating to staffing allocations for Members.

The Committee thanks all who made submissions into the inquiry including Clerks of jurisdictions around Australia and in New Zealand.

Under the Assembly’s standing orders, the Government is required to respond to committee reports within four months of tabling.
