Report on the Planning (Missing Middle Housing) Amendment Bill 2026 tabled
The Standing Committee on Environment and Planning has tabled the report of the inquiry into the Planning (Missing Middle Housing) Amendment Bill 2026.
“The intent of this Bill is limited and focused on process.” Ms Jo Clay, Committee Chair, said. “The Committee found that the simplified pathways and shortened application timeframes will encourage developers, individuals and families to take up the densification opportunities that the missing middle reforms offer.”
“The Committee makes four recommendations, and thanks everyone who participated in this inquiry.”
