New inquiry into the use of controlled activity orders

The Standing Committee on Environment and Planning has announced it will be undertaking an inquiry into the use of controlled activity orders.

‘Three recent petitions to the Legislative Assembly have highlighted issues surrounding the use of controlled activity orders to enforce compliance with lease conditions in Canberra,’ said Jo Clay MLA, Committee Chair. ‘In particular, the Committee is seeking community input on the effectiveness of compliance and enforcement in the planning system, and how it can be improved.’

The Committee is interested in hearing about any relevant sites, and has identified some specific sites of interest, including:
