At its meeting on Thursday 23 February 2012, the Legislative Assembly referred Appropriation Bill 2011–12 (No. 2) to the Committee for inquiry and report.

The Supplementary Budget Papers detail a reprioritisation of $300 000 of capital in the 2011–12 financial year and an allocation of $7 million in 2012-13 for stage 1 of the Ashley Drive upgrade project. As part of its inquiry, the Committee was referred to a consultancy report—Ashley Drive, Monash Road Network Upgrade, Feasibility Study—prepared for the Government.
