New inquiry into the Secure Local Jobs Code

The Standing Committee on Public Accounts and Administration has announced it will be undertaking an inquiry into the effectiveness and operation of the Secure Local Jobs Code.

‘The Secure Local Jobs Code applies to procurement processes in a range of industries across the ACT,’ said Mr Milligan, Committee Chair.

‘This inquiry intends to examine whether the Code is achieving its objectives in terms of supporting local jobs, upholding industrial relations standards, and delivering value for money.’

Stakeholders from the construction, cleaning, security and traffic management industries as well as community and nonprofit groups are encouraged to make a submission.

Submissions close on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.
