Public hearing into Bail Amendment Bill 2026

The Standing Committee on Legal Affairs is today holding a public hearing on the Bail Amendment Bill 2026.

The bill amends the Bail Act 1992 to clarify and codify the matters that decision makers must take into account when making a decision on bail.

The public hearing schedule is available on the Assembly’s website.

Visitors are welcome to observe the proceedings in the Prince Edward Island Room at the Legislative Assembly building or online from the Assembly website.
