Inquiries into the Annual and Financial Reports 2019-2020 and Appropriation Bill 2020-2021

The Standing Committee on Education and Community Inclusion has today tabled its report on the inquiries into the Annual and Financial Reports 2019-2020 and budget estimates for 2020-2021.

For these inquiries, the Committee examined the annual and financial reports of ACT Government directorates and agencies and budget estimates falling within the remit of the Committee and heard from ACT Government Ministers and officials during two days of public hearings.

The Committee has made 12 recommendations. These relate to Child and Family Centres, legal services in ACT public schools, teacher librarians, school construction, literacy and numeracy among ACT public school students, funding for vocational training, the Young Canberra Citizen of the Year Awards winners, the Gungahlin pool and procurement processes in the ACT.
