Public hearing on the COVID-19 pandemic response
The Select Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic response will hold its fourth public hearing into the ACT Government’s health and financial response and any other matter relating to the COVID-19 pandemic on Thursday 23 April 2020 at 10:00am. At this hearing, the Committee will look at matters related to the impact of COVID-19 on tenancies and housing. Scheduled witnesses include:
- Community Housing Industry Association ACT
- Real Estate Institute ACT
- Property Council
- Better Renting
- Tenancy Advice Service
- Anglicare ACT
The Committee will hold weekly public hearings, alternating between ACT Government officials and community groups, virtually via Zoom and live streamed to the public. The hearings can be viewed from the Assembly on Demand website.
The Select Committee was established by the Legislative Assembly on 2 April to provide oversight to the ACT Government’s response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. The resolution establishing the Committee is available on the Committee’s website.
