On 23 June 2021 the ACT Legislative Assembly (the Assembly) referred the Inquiry into Carers Recognition Bill 2021 to the Standing Committee on Health and Community Wellbeing for inquiry and report.

On 6 July 2021 the Committee agreed to inquire into Carers Recognition Bill 2021.
