The Standing Committee on Education, Employment and Youth Affairs today tabled its report, from its Inquiry into standardised testing in ACT schools, in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
Chair of the Committee, Michael Pettersson MLA, said the Report made 20 recommendations, with 18 being supported by all members of the Committee.
“We have heard very clearly in the course of our Inquiry that standardised testing can provide value when the results are used in the right way.” Mr Pettersson said.
The Committee also agrees that there needs to be ongoing consideration of how the results of standardised tests are published.
