Sixth Australasian and Pacific Conference on the Scrutiny of Bills was held in Canberra Wednesday, 2 March to Friday, 4 March 2005.
This conference has been held biennially since the 1980 and serves as a forum for parliamentary committees with a brief to scrutinise legislation and delegated legislation from a “rights” viewpoint to meet and exchange experiences. Participants included the relevant committees from the Federal, State, Territory and New Zealand Parliaments. Representation from overseas parliamentary committees is welcome.
